Join our hands-on photography studio lighting workshops designed for photographers of all levels. Whether you're a beginner looking to understand the fundamentals of studio lighting or an experienced photographer seeking to refine your lighting techniques, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge and skills to create stunning, professional-quality images.
I've been teaching photography on and off since the late 90s, including at several London Colleges (City & Islington College, Central Graphics Academy) and more recently I've run studio lighting workshops with the students at Coleg Gwent in Cross Keys.

Advanced Lighting Equipment and Modifiers (1 Hour)
- Understanding and using beauty dishes, softboxes and stripboxes
- Light meters and their role in professional setups
- Using grids with the modifiers to control the light
Mastering Light Control (2 Hours)
- Rembrandt, Butterfly, Loop, and Split lighting techniques
- Balancing multiple light sources effectively
- Using lighting ratios for precision
- Feathering light
Creative Lighting Approaches (2 Hours)
- High-key and low-key lighting applications
- Using gels and coloured lighting for artistic effects
- Using optical spot with gels and gobos
Advanced Live Shooting and Critique (2 Hours)
- Live advanced shooting session with real-world scenarios
- Individual feedback and fine-tuning techniques
